Meagan Lesak has suffered from target punching for many years. She is an accomplished archer but could never quite get over the hump due to her trigger punching. As her coach, we tried everything: blind bale, big target up close, low power scope, no scope, thumb trigger release, back tension release, back tension with a safety, mental imagery, etc. She shot well enough to be competitive but not well enough to win and achieve her goal: JOAD Olympian. It was not until we acquired a Loesch TRUE backtension release aid that she broke through the barrier. It allows her to shoot with the proper mechanics and confidence so that the trigger punching is not a concern. This is the best training tool I have for working with youth compound archers and for Meagan it is her competition release also. Adding 5-6 points a round to her score by using the TrueBT release has made all the difference for her. In February 2006 Meagan broke through and shot her Olympian after three years of effort.
