"I think your release is the answer, for several reasons. The first is that pulling is more repeatable than the cheating methods for other back tension releases. The cheating techniques are: Larry Wise - tightening up the fist; George Ryals IV - loosening up the first two fingers; my local pro shop - cocking the wrist before pulling back, then letting it straighten when pulling against the stop. I became determined to fire a back tension release without cheating, so using a weight machine I
developed very strong rhomboid muscles, and rotated my release elbow (as per Core Archery, pg. 56) using my right rhomboid. I could get the release to go off without any cheating. But, I was bothered by right-left misses. George Ryals watched me shoot and he told me that I was rotating my elbow to the point that I was rotating the point of the arrow. So, I tried loosening up my first two fingers when I wanted the shot to go off. As with all the cheating methods it was hard to be consistent, especially when shooting for a score. With your release I just pull until the shot goes off, and I can
concentrate on aiming rather that getting the rhomboid muscle to contract
and the cheating method.

I think there is another big advantage to your release that I haven't seen you mention - that being the shot going off at the same pull weight every shot. As you know, any variation in pulling when at the stop affects up and down shots, and it is difficult to pull exactly the same weight at the stop every time. With your release the release goes off at the same pull weight every time, which I think greatly minimizes up and
down misses.

I am 66, and this is my third year shooting. When I'm shooting in a league I am a 570 shooter, once in a while I get up into the 580s, and two or three times I have shot 589. When not shooting in a league I struggle to shoot in the 570s. The first time I used your release the leagues had not started, and I shot a 586, only dropping three points in the first half, but 11 in the second half when I started thinking about push-pulling instead of just pulling. In the future I'm just going to pull.

Thanks for making a great release - I have a lot of releases to sell now."
